WHO WE ARE

EWG is situated in Edinburgh, Scotland. We are known as the “City Without Walls” because God has told us we will so grow that we would not be able to be contained in a single place but a church in many locations. We present the Word of God to people of all backgrounds, and races in an interesting, informative style that is applicable to today’s world.
Practical expository preaching and teaching of the Word of faith, uplifting worship and countless special events provide wonderful opportunities for the entire family to grow spiritually. EWG is devoted to touching the lives of God’s people around the world – determined to EVANGELIZE, EDUCATE, ELEVATE, AND EMBRACE souls for the Kingdom.

A Brand New Embassy! A Brand New Structure!

At Embassy of the Word of God, the most recurrent word is change. Timely and inspired change is the mark of a healthy church that is alive to the directive of the Holy Spirit. EWG has evolved over the years, passing through series of changes required for more effective church ministry and by implication a greater impact on the larger society.

In this vein the church has been restructured to function in line with its core purposes which are: membership, maturity, evangelism and mission, ministry and worship. The directorates of Embassy of the Word of God are now constituted of the aforementioned. The Seven Directorates of EWG are now:

Membership Team: Saddled with the responsibility of C.A.R.E (Contact, Assist, Relate and Encourage members of the church)

Maturity Team: Coordinates all activities aimed at maturing the saints in the church.

Evangelism and Missions Team : Coordinates all activities aimed at winning new members into the fellowship system of the church.

Ministry Team: oversees all specialized ministries and outreaches of the church.

Worship Team: supplies music and worship for all major services and encourages every member to have a personal fellowship with God.

Junior Church: Coordinates all activities of the Junior Church.

Administration: Ensures the smooth running of the church office and other para-ministry activities.

Before now, the directorates were: Pastoral Care, Family Life, Education, Administration, and Junior Church. This restructuring is aimed at ensuring that every point the church stays focused on its five core purposes. The inclusion of the directorates of Junior Church and Administration becomes pertinent owing to their strategic functionality to the church ministry.

MEMBER CARE

Our Member  Care Team at EWG is dedicated to carrying out the Embrace piece of our mission, to serve people. Specifically we are here to serve your specific spiritual needs. We meet those needs in a variety of ways.

VISITATIONS

We have a team of ministers and lay persons whose focus is to visit with and follow-up with our members in times of physical illnesses and challenges. If you are in need of prayer due to hospitalisation or illness please call our Member Care Line +441314423454
